A look behind the lensHey there, I´m Jordi a family portrait photographer that loves capturing golden moments
A few years back, my husband and I moved to Maldives – but not before I convinced him that we should buy a joint Christmas gift for ourselves – a DSLR camera; which he has never touched to this day (sorry babe, tricked ya). I, on the other hand, was in photographic heaven! It was actually impossible to take a bad photograph in such a beautiful place. Cue my insatiable passion for photography which has led me to becoming a family photographer today.
I have gone from photographing beautiful ocean landscapes and surf scenes around the world to working with families, couples, mothers and more in my home city of the Gold Coast. I wonder why I didn’t pursue my photography dream sooner because I absolutely love working with clients like you! I get the biggest sense of satisfaction when I pour my heart into your gallery and send it through – although I still wait with bated breath until I hear that you love it equally as much!
My other job – and greatest achievement – is that of a mother. I love being a mum. It is my biggest reason why! And I will happily chat all things kids, family and motherhood all day long x
What can you expect from a family photography session with me?
I know that you might be a little nervous or unsure of what to expect ahead of our session. Trust me – I’ve been on the other side of the camera and I was so grateful to my photographer for putting my family and I at ease straight away. So that is exactly what I will aim to do for you!
First and foremost, I won’t be asking you to sit and say ‘cheese’. In fact, I will start by asking your family not to look at the camera at all. I will guide you through the session, prompting you and interacting with you with the aim of capturing natural and authentic moments.
Above all, I want you to enjoy the experience as much as the product. Let the love flow – don’t be afraid to cuddle into one another, run your hand over your little one’s cheek, dance, jump, laugh, plant a kiss on your partner’s forehead (maybe even a cheeky bum grab). And don’t worry about the kids goofing around or pulling faces – encourage them to do it! Have fun with them!
Unwind, relax and just be – that’s when the true magic happens!
