I must admit, my heart sings when I’m booked for my Bump to Baby package. It feels like the ultimate honour to chosen to document this journey for couples from pregnancy to the arrival of their newborn. And when our Gold Coast beaches offer up the perfect back drop, this is the result…
I first met Taylah and Hisham in November when they were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby girl. They had originally booked just a maternity photo session with me but that soon turned into a combined Bump to Baby booking as they sought to document their family beyond pregnancy.
Choosing a location for their maternity session was easy – anywhere by the seaside. Right up my alley! We quickly settled upon a secluded nook amongst the dunes, a favourite spot of mine. So then to decide where to do their newborn photos. After seeing my previous blog on outdoor newborn sessions, they were sold! Taylah and Hish decided they would like to return to the same beachside location for their newborn session too.
I loved the sentiment of capturing their journey across two sessions in this truly beautiful spot. Looking at these photos side by side warms my heart so much. I can feel their excitement and anticipation through the maternity session images.
And then she’s here! Their daughter, Amira. And that pure love and connection as a family is intensified through their newborn session photos. Taylah and Hisham are naturals. They speak to their sweet daughter with such tender voices and gentle words while I am in my element, working around them and capturing this pure magic.
